11 Months

Our Brycey turned 11 months old a few days ago! I can't believe our baby is going to be one in a month. It is crazy how fast the past year has gone. He has brought so much joy to our lives. His smile just melts my heart. He is still a sweet baby, but he is starting to develop a bit of an attitude at times. He gets mad when his sister shares his snacks with him like she is going to eat it all when he has a tray full. It's actually pretty cute....for now! He is ALL over the place and hardly sits still. He is crawling at a fast pace and is cruising around all the furniture. It's obvious he is getting more mobile and active from all the bumps and bruises. He was recently to the doctor for an ear infection and is up to 21 lbs. Brycey, please slow down, your getting so big way too fast!

His smile just.....Melts.My.Heart

The little guys...It is too cute how Bryce and Cohen are really getting to know each other. They are so lovey towards one another. Here they are in matching jammies :)
Can't do a post without a couple pics of our princess.
Love this one...so cute!
I got behind in the blog world and never shared Bryce's 9 month pictures so here are a couple of our favorites....love this little boy to pieces!

PRAISE THE LORD......

our baby boy is healthy and perfect!!!!!
I thought about several different titles for this post, such as "A living nightmare", but I decided to be positive and Praise the Lord for he protected and watched over our precious boy!
For those of you that don't know or have only heard bits and pieces of our story you can read it here now.
Last Friday evening I was getting ready to put Bryce to bed. I laid him down to change his diaper and give him some tylenol (for his teeth) while Jake and Brielle talked with him getting ready to say goodnight. I sat him up and walked away to throw the diaper out and he started crying.....hard! Jake picked him up and he didn't stop. I noticed his breath in after he would cry sounded funny. I took him from Jake to see if coming to me would make him stop...it didn't. He would cry and every breath he took in got to be less and less. I told Jake "he can't catch his breath". By this time he wasn't crying anymore and barely taking a breath in. We began to panic. Our baby boy was blue in the face, his eyes rolled shut and he went limp in my arms. We began screaming his name, begging him to breathe. I yelled at Jake to call 911 and I began CPR on Bryce. I have never done CPR on anyone in my life and there I was doing it on my baby boy. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I could do that in such a state of panic, but my baby was laying there not breathing and I knew I couldn't just sit there and do nothing. Jake was crying to the 911 operator telling them to get an ambulance here NOW because our baby was dying. Yes, we thought we were going to lose our precious son. After doing CPR for who knows how long (probably only a minute, but it felt like 30) Bryce began to throw up. I continued to give him breaths, then came the big throw up and the most amazing sight, our son took a breath on his own! The ambulance got to our house and he was breathing. They started giving him oxygen and suctioned him. We were then told he had to go to Riley to get checked out. I got to ride with him while Jake stayed home with Brielle. By the time we got to Riley my baby was back. He was his smiley happy self. While in the ER he had a chest x-ray done to check for any aspiration of his throw up, it came back normal. We were told they wanted to keep him overnight to observe him and have him on monitors. We got taken to a room at 1:30 am after sitting in the ER for 4 hours. Saturday morning Bryce had a Cat Scan to check for anything unusual that would have possibly caused this "choking" event...it came back normal as well. The Dr. came in at noon on Sat. and said they wanted to keep him overnight again to monitor him for a good 24 hours :( Sat. night he had an EKG to check for any changes in his heart since being without oxygen...it was normal! On Sunday we were finally told we could go home, but the ENT Dr. wanted to do a scope before we were discharged. He put a camera down through his nose and looked at his tonsils and adenoids. He said both are slightly enlarged, but no where near big enough to cause an obstruction in Bryce's airway and not big enough to warrant taking them out at this time. We left Riley Sunday afternoon not knowing exactly what happened other than maybe Bryce was getting ready to spit up when he started crying and choked on it or maybe the tylenol went down the wrong pipe and along with the crying it caused him to choke. There was no health reason that caused this to happen because after all the tests we have found out that we have a healthy little boy and that this "choking" incident is all that it really was. We will never know how or why he choked, but we have to look at it as that and not be afraid that it will happen again. God doesn't want us to live in fear, so we aren't going to. God was by our side that night and helped walk us through what was the most frightening moment either one of us has ever experienced. Every time I look at Bryce I thank the Lord for his life. Our God is an awesome God! This incident really put into perspective just how precious life is. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Bryce and our family, we really appreciate it. We can't imagine our lives without one of our children. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!!!!!!
So happy to be home!
In other news our little guy turned 10 months old a couple weeks ago! He is on the go, go, go. He still does some army crawling, but has mastered crawling on his hands and knees now. He has also mastered pulling himself up, which he does All.Day.Long! He is eating more table food now and loving it. He has 2 new teeth working their way in and are almost through. Last Friday night right before I changed his diaper and we had our huge scare he walked behind his push toy for the first time. We were so excited! He did it again on Sunday when he got home from Riley. We figure it won't be long before he is walking on his own. He has started doing some "cruising" around the furniture. Here are a few pics of our happy and HEALTHY 10 month old boy!

Thanks again for all the prayers on our behalf!!
