Brielle's Sweet Shop

Brielle's 4th birthday party was all about the sweets and treats with her "sweet shop". I had so much fun making everything for her special day. We had cupcake pops, cupcake bites, lollipop cookies, chocolate lollipops and lots of candy. Brielle had a great day and the weather was perfect. She got everything she asked for and then some. She got a new Peyton Manning jersey, the barbie she totally wanted, an easy bake oven, a new American Girl doll and outfits, a barbie head to do her hair, a new nightgown, bead necklace kit, and more! It turned out to be a sweet, sweet day!

4 Year Check up

Brielle had her 4 year check up at the doctor today. She had her vision and hearing checked for the first time. Her vision exam was the same as an adults, but instead of reading an eye chart of letters it was a chart of shapes. Then for the hearing test she had to touch my hand every time she heard a beep. She passed both, not that we didn't think she would :) She weighs 39 lbs (79%) and is 42 inches (90%). Dr. Freeman says she is growing beautifully! Then came the news that she had to get 3 shots....Bummer! She got the flu mist which was no big deal then her 3 booster shots. She was very brave and did well. She hasn't had to have any shots since she was 18 months old, which she doesn't remember, so it was kind of a big deal. Since she was such a big girl about it she got to pick something special at Target!! She has been seeing the commercials for Cabbage Patch dolls so that's what she got :)

Four years ago today we became parents to the most beautiful baby girl. That day, August 30, 2007, changed our lives forever. It is so hard to believe that special day was 4 years ago. You have grown from that beautiful baby into a beautiful little girl. I'm not even sure how to put into words how much you mean to your Daddy and me. You make us laugh and smile everyday. You are such a giver and you have a heart of gold. You are an amazing daughter and sister. Bryce loves you so much and it's written all over his face when he sees you, his smile says it all. I have loved every minute of the past 4 years being able to stay at home and spend all my time with you. It is time that I will never forget. You are the sweetest little girl, we are so proud of you. We love you so much princess,

Our Boy

turned 15 months a couple weeks ago. It is insane how quickly he is growing up! He had his checkup and now weighs 24 lbs 12 oz (55%) and is 32 1/4 inches (83%). He has gained almost 4 lbs and grew a little over an inch since he turned one. He is one busy boy that has brought a new energy to our family. We couldn't imagine our lives without his big brown eyes, sweet smile, and deep laugh. This is what our busy and ornery little guy has been up to....

We spent the past week and a half in Fort Wayne at my sisters house. The kids really enjoyed being together, but every time they wanted to go outside they came back in like 5 minutes later saying it was too hot! So we racked our brains to think of something "cool" to do while getting out of the house at the same time...."Bounce Mania" here we come!! Of course the big kids loved it, but the little guys were a little unsure at first. Bryce actually cried when we got in the room and turns out he cried when it was time to go...guess he liked it too!
