Introducing Bryce Jacob

Our little peanut is absolutely PERFECT, we have been so blessed! My labor and delivery went well besides the fact that my epidural didn't take on my left side and I was in quite a bit of pain, but luckily I only pushed once through one contraction and Bryce was born! He has a head full of dark hair, looks a lot like his big sister when she was born, and is oh so cute! We thank God for giving us another healthy child that we are madly and deeply in love with. Here are some pictures from his birth and I will update soon with more...enjoy!

Jake and Danae made it safely to the hospital. They are checked in and she is currently 3-4 cm and just received her epidural. They are going to start pitocin now and get her contractions going stronger. Her and Jake are anxiously awaiting their baby boy!

Baby on the Way!!!

Boy oh boy do we have an exciting story to share! This is Shannon, updating everyone on Jake and Danae's situation. If you didn't know, I gave birth on Thursday and Danae bravely made the trip to Fort Wayne to welcome her nephew into the world. She was planning to be induced two weeks from Thursday on May 6th and things were looking fine. However, God had a different plan in mind for little Bryce. Danae's water broke this morning! She called the doctor and they told her that if she wasn't having contractions that she could make it back to Indy to deliver the baby. Her and Jake debated on what was best and packed up their things and headed home. I just talked with her (10 am) and since she was still feeling fine they made a quick stop at home to grab their bags, take showers and prepare for the big day! They are on their way to the hospital now. I will update with new information as I hear things. Please keep them in your prayers. Sweet little Bryce should arrive sometime today and I could not be more blessed to have had my sister here with me for the birth of our son. I am dying to be there with her, but know that we will meet him soon. Crazy that last night we were so excited that our boys would only be two weeks apart and now they will only be two days apart!

Bryce Update

I have no pictures just a quick update. I went to the dr today for my 37 week appointment. No big news and just a little change...dr said I am not quite 3 cm, but a really good 2. I'm also 70% effaced. We are still on track for an induction on Thursday May 6...16 more days! I go back next Tuesday for my LAST appt....that seems so crazy! I will update after my next appt. My sister is being induced on Thursday morning, please say a prayer for a safe and quick delivery of a healthy baby boy or girl...Thanks :)

Big Day For The Brower Family!

Today was a BIG day for our family. Today was Brielle's first day of "school". She is going up the street to Kiddie Academy 2 days a week on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9-12. She had a great first day and got an awesome report. She got to play outside on the playground, plant flowers in a styrofoam cup, paint, had a snack and lunch, and she also sat on the potty twice! The teacher said she is such a polite and sweet girl...which we already knew :) We are so proud of her!

There is more BIG news...I went to the dr today for my 36 week appt. and I am 2 cm dilated!! My doctor wants to induce me one week early if I haven't gone into labor on my own. We have an induction scheduled for Thursday May 6th. Bryce Jacob will be here in 3 weeks at the latest! He said that being my second baby and the fact that I am already 2 cm I could easily go on my own before then, but it's exciting to know that we will be meeting our son by at least May 6th!! Now it's time to get his clothes washed and start getting things ready....how exciting! I go back to the dr next Tuesday and will update with any new info.

Easter With Brielle & A Visit With Bryce

Easter weekend was very busy. The NCAA Final Four was in Indy and Daddy's company was a sponsor so he had a lot of work functions to attend and he also went to all the games. Luckily he was home on Easter Sunday and we were able to spend the day together!

Yesterday we had another 3D/4D ultrasound done and got to see Bryce again!! We took Brielle this time so she could see her little brother. He looks the same as 5 weeks ago, but you can tell he has got more fat to his cheeks. We were able to get some good pics, but since he is running out of room it was harder than last time. His little hands were in front of his face for most of the time, but he did eventually move them so we could see his cute little face. He is all snuggled up in there :) We are so ready to meet him...5 more weeks until the official due date. I go to the dr next week and will update after my appt.
