Follow Up With Urologist

Brielle had a renal ultrasound today to follow up post surgery and make sure everything is progressing as it should be. Afterwards we met with our urologist to get the results. Things are looking better, but not perfect yet. Because her kidney was stretched so large, by the backup of fluid, he says it will take years for it to go back to a normal size for her body. She will have an ultrasound every year to monitor this. He wants her to stay on the antibiotic for now so she doesn't develop another infection. He says another infection would lead to another surgery to do more repairs, so we will take the antibiotic with no complaints :) Her next ultrasound is in April and we will pray that her kidney looks even smaller. It's all in God's hands!
